We\u2019re all for the idea of ensuring that visually impaired people have access to the important information that comes with medications \u2014 our concern is that \u201cthe financial implications [&#8230;] have not been adequately considered,\u201d especially when it comes to small pharmacies. As with Utah, we would like the Washington State Department of Health to consider the simple question, \u201cWho will pay for this?\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"mce-hs-more\" contenteditable=\"false\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP\/\/\/yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7\" \/>We also <a href=\"https:\/\/join.a4pc.org\/hubfs\/State-level%20Resources\/LABOP-Comment-Letter-503B-Sourcing-Feb2025.pdf?utm_source=hs_email&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;_hsenc=p2ANqtz-9OTqtf1VlF5grAyIJMY3qxaNNYO7nDwqu9xPbxiw4T2U01aHKFdS4C8bN8-4NY3poRcmqO\" data-hs-link-id=\"0\">wrote<\/a> to the executive director of the <strong>Louisiana<\/strong> Board of Pharmacy asking for clarification on that state\u2019s policies regarding 503Bs distributing compounded medications to 503A pharmacies. Apparently a state inspector there claimed 503Bs are not allowed to sell to 503As within the state.
